How to add Custom Stationery and Signatures to your Emails

If you aren’t ready to take on the challenge of using a dedicated Mail Program such as Mailchimp and you want to send your email flyers through Outlook then you may need some help setting this up.
When I recently faced the pain of trying to set up a Newsletter/E-invite in MS Outlook, I discovered the wonderful Orla had prepared a tutorial that could show me how to do just that. In the spirit of sharing here’s what she wrote.
Copy the Newsletter/e-invite files to the stationery folder on your computer. You can do this by going to:
C:/ > Program Files > Common Files > Microsoft Shared > Stationery
Don’t create a new folder to put them in just put the files in as they are.
Next you must load your new stationery in to Outlook. Open Outlook… from the menu bar select:
Tools > Options
Select the Mail Format tab and then click the Stationery and Fonts button.
Click the Theme button, the following screen will allow you to choose your stationery from the list on the left. You will see a preview then click OK.
When you create a new message the Newsletter will appear in the message body.
To edit the text just click inside the area of the message you wish to edit and replace the text with your own.
To edit a hyperlink > right-hand click the link > Edit Hyperlink > then fill out the details in the dialogue box that appears and click OK to commit the changes.
To change/edit a photo:
select the image > Change Picture > Use the dialogue box to browse and select your photo then click OK.
Now go to the fridge and grab yourself a cold one and:
Open bottle> take a sip> give yourself a pat on the back, you’re all done
Voilà.
