Youth Say No

One in three women experience violence in their lifetime, and millions of children worldwide are affected by domestic violence. Youth Say No is a Department of Child Protection (DCP) initiative giving young people a chance to speak about their concerns surrounding domestic violence. The campaign’s message is that violence of any kind is never OK.

Research shows that there is no better way to communicate these sensitive messages than to have young people talk directly about their experiences. The marketing video is a chilling reminder of the issues and statistics of domestic violence in Western Australia. It was used on the DCP website and as part of a greater digital campaign. It utilised social media to promote a no tolerance approach.
